The birth of new art
This positive pregnancy test is part of a series of pieces exploring my experience of birth trauma. Such personal pieces are often emotional rollercoasters to create however there was also joy in exploring the colours in the skin and the fingernail. This particular embroidery can be seen a sister to my other small pieces Sharp Scratch and My Black Eye. I intend to add to these as I keep exploring my post-natal depression and PTSD through my art.
