This embroidery of the stomach was stitched as a gift to a gastric surgeon. I loved the challenge of using such a narrow band of shades to create so many layers of interest, especially in the three main muscles that surround the body of the stomach. It was also a technical challenge to recreate the rugae inside the stomach itself. Hopefully you’ll agree that I managed it!
