This was requested by a lovely woman who was open to ideas about skulls, hearts and brains. We decided that for her budget a loosely shaded skull would be bang on and so that’s what I stitched. Look closely and you can see my emphasis on stitch direction to create a 3D effect along with carefully placed highlights to make it jump off the hoop.
