Recognising our challenges
This piece was commissioned by someone who struggled with ulcerative colitis, which is why you can see it represented in the descending colon. The big challenge here was the single stranded shading to capture the plump and juicy nature of the colon, which is offset gorgeously (if I say so myself) by that sunny yellow mesentery.
